This map is only a very partial section of the city. It is absolutely useless, unless you plan to only go to the main tourist areas. If you are like me, and need a map of the streets of Mexico City, for work, study, play and to explore the city, then this is not the map for you. It is not a street map of Mexico City. Thousands of streets are left out. Most of the city is missing from this map. Do not rely on this map to help you find your way around if you are coming to Mexico City to do business or if you have friends who live in Mexico City. It may only be useful for a quick visit to the city for tourist purposes.

You can't possibly get the entire freakin city on one map!!! but this map gets the best parts, and the most likely visited tourist parts on two nicely folded and laminated sides. YES there are a lot of typos--and this is distracting to me, a Spanish Prof. I got over it. I wanted to get out my red pen, but I refrained, because it's got most of the sites I needed in doing research and generally navigating El Ombligo del Mundo--the Navel of the world. I've been to Mexico City dozens of times and I've used a sharpie pen to mark on this map the places I've been to and I've kept track of useful sites over the past six???? years I've used it. Unfortunately I laid it down somewhere earlier this month and I LOST it!!! I've tried in vain to replace it, and NO the Guia Roji just doesn't cut it--it's too big and clumsy. Other tourist maps don't do what this one does--they fall apart! When I get home I'm going to buy another Streetwise from B&N and remark it as best I can... *sniff...

This is a must have map for the traveller to Mexico City who likes to wander. The streets are well marked on both the map and in the city. The only section that seemed weak, was the map of Coyoacan, which was less detailed than the rest of the map. Nonetheless, it was enough detail to get by and wander around on foot freely.

waste of money - out of date, full of typos (the "Isreal" embassy, "Jaurez"....doesn't inspire confidence in the accuracy of the info) wish I had gotten the guia roji instead.

I don't know why one can't buy a full map of Mexico City -- I guess the place is just too big?? This map came in handy, though, during a recent trip. The metro markings really helped. It folds up and you can take it out while ducking inside a Sanborn's or something so you don't look like a complete lame-o.
